Information about the PNHLL Board

PLYMOUTH NEW HOPE LITTLE LEAGUE

The objective of the PNHLL is to service the youth in our community both equally and fairly.  It is geared to provide the outlet of healthful activity and training under a good leadership in the atmosphere of wholesome community participation.  Little League is geared to finding the balance of competitive play and fair play. No child shall be discriminated against. We are hoping to inspire our players with a goal and enrich their lives through community and competition.  PNHLL establishes the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play.

To achieve this objective, the PNHLL provides a supervised program under the Rules and Regulations of Little League Baseball, Incorporated. All Directors, Officers and Members shall bear in mind that the attainment of exceptional athletic skill or the winning of games is secondary, and the molding of future citizens is of prime importance. In accordance with Section 501-(c)-(3) of the Federal Internal Revenue Code, the PNHLL operates exclusively as a non-profit educational organization providing a supervised program of competitive baseball games. No part of the net earnings shall inure to the benefit of any private shareholder or individual; no substantial part of the activities of which is carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, and which does not participate in or intervene in any political campaign on behalf of any candidate for public office.

How to join the PNHLL Board of Directors

PNHLL Board of Director positions are voted on at the Annual Member Meeting in October of every year. We try to fill these roles before October as that is when our Fiscal Year begins. If positions remain available, you may inquire to the current President by email and then submit an application.

Most board positions have two year terms and are staggered to provide operational continuity. Please see our Board Description page for an outline of each Position

The PNHLL Board of Directors consists of volunteers who strive to ensure that the above objectives are achieved. The PNHLL Board of Directors consists of the following positions:

  1. President – 2 yr. term
  2. Vice President – 2 yr. term
  3. Treasurer – 2 yr. term
  4. Secretary & Information Officer (Webmaster) - 2 year term
  5. Player Agent and Safety Officer – 2 yr. term
  6. Volunteer Coordinator (DIBS) – 2 yr. term
  7. Field Supervisor – 2 yr. term
  8. Equipment Manager – 2 yr. term
  9. Concession Inventory Manager – 2 yr. term
  10. Concession Manager – 2 yr. term
  11. Sponsorship Manager – 2 yr. term
  12. League Coordinator Majors – annual election
  13. League Coordinator Minors – annual election
  14. League Coordinator Rookies – annual election
  15. Tournament Manager – 2 yr. term
  16. Scheduling Manager – 2 yr. term
  17. Marketing, Recruitment & Social Media. - 2 year term

A Year of PNHLL Baseball

Timeframe Description
Mid-October Annual Members Meeting
Immediately following the annual meeting PNHLL Board of Directors begins working on upcoming season
Mid-December Registration opens for Winter Clinic
Early January to mid-February Winter Clinic - 6 weeks of baseball instruction
Late January to early February Registration opens for Spring/ Summer season
Early to mid-March Player evaluation
Mid to late March Major teams are formed and begin practices (indoors at local schools)
Late March to early April Uniform fitting 
April Minor and Rookie teams begin practicing - outdoors (weather permitting)
Late April to early May Opening Day and team pictures
June Rookies Weekend
April through mid-June PNHLL Spring/ Summer Season
Mid-June to mid-August Tournament Season
Late July Registration opens for Fall Ball (up to age 10)
August - early October Fall Ball Season
