2010 Lookouts

Chattanooga Lookouts

Our Little League team is named after the Chattanooga Lookouts, a minor league baseball team based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. They are named for nearby Lookout Mountain. The team, which plays in the Southern League, has been a Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers major-league club since the 2009 season.

Practice hard, you will do in games what you do in practice

Players:  Hustle- no walking, glove on ground, 100%, try hard, pay attention, listen to coaches, no fooling around

Coaches:  Use Little League practice outlines & drills, be very early to field, stay late, work hard, all players practice batting and fielding, correctional instruction-1500 times to break a bad habit, 21 times to form one, safety, fun, good sportsmanship

Parents:  15/30 rule- Get kids to practice 15 min early & games 30 min early, play catch at home, buy a tee & have them bat wiffle balls at home, 1/2 hr min every other day during the season, help with practices and games, teach kids about good sportsmanship, have kids watch dozens of YouTube/Library/Store bought instructional videos.
