SCHEDULE OVERLOOK

PNHLL baseball schedules are broken down into 4 seasons:

  1. Regular season – First Saturday in May thru fourth week in June.
  2. Postseason (for Majors and Minor A teams) – Last 2 weeks of June including weekends
  3. Selects season – Friday after the Fourth of July running 2 weeks including weekends
  4. All Star season – Friday after the Fourth of July thru first Friday in Aug

Many of these schedules/tournaments are not setup by PNHLL

REGULAR SEASON 1st Saturday in May thru 4th week in June

  1. Spring Registration begins in Jan and closes in early March
  2. Evaluations take place in Mid March
  3. Teams are created 
    • Majors and Minors mid-late March
    • Rookies in April
  4. April Indoor practices for Majors, Minor A and Minor B
  5. Outdoor practices begin once the league gets approval from city officials
  6. Opening Day is the first Saturday in May
  7. Games and practices are weeknights. One exception is our Rookie Weekend
    • Please see Divisions FAQ page to see when your division can expect events 
  8. Regular season games take place from May- 2nd to 4th week in June
  9. Rookie Weekend is a 2-Day weekend event that takes place once a year - dates are usually end of May or Beginning of June.
  10. Regular Season Tournaments usually take place the last 2 weeks in June
    • These are PNHLL tournaments for each division of the league

 

POSTSEASON Last 2 weeks in June

  1. All Majors teams are placed in District Tournaments depending on their final PNH Tournament finishes
    • Tournament names are the Classic, Firecracker, Raspberry, and Slugfest – Play includes 2 weeks of June with weekends
  2. All Minor A teams are placed in a Postseason Crystal Classic tournament
    • Play includes 2 weeks of June with weekends
  3. Minor B and Rookie teams do not participate in Postseason play

 

ALL STAR SEASON Friday after the 4th thru 1st Friday in Aug including weekends

  1. Games start the Friday after the Fourth of July lasting thru first Friday in Aug
  2. There is an additional fee to play
  3. Top players by age brackets 8U-12U are selected by head coaches to be invited to play
  4. Teams will play in District 1 All Star Tournaments by age division.
  5. Locations change year to year.
  6. The winning 12U team will continue on to play in Regionals and winning team from there will play in Little League World Series
  7. All Star teams have further opportunities to play the Metro Classic and Paul Perez Tournaments. Second to last Saturday in July to first Friday in Aug

 

SELECTS SEASON Friday after the 4th of July for 2 weeks including weekends

  1. 9U-12U players that want to continue playing and are not selected for All Star’s have the opportunity to play in our PNHLL hosted Memorial Cup.
  2. There is an additional fee to play
  3. Dates are the Friday after the Fourth of July and running for 2 weeks.
  4. Teams are selected by the VP and coaches and can be a mix of age groups.
