FALL SEASON DETAILS

Welcome to the Plymouth New Hope Little League Fall Baseball season! Fall ball is all about player development, learning new positions, and keeping a bat in your hand in a fun, yet competitive, environment. Whether your player is looking to sharpen their skills or prepare for moving up a division next Spring, this is the perfect place to do it.

KEY DATES FOR THE SEASON

  • Registration Opens: August 1st
    • Registration is first come first served. We will make as many teams as space and schedule allows. But, space is limited.
  •  Registration Closes: August 28th
  • Practices Begin: Week of August 31st
  • Games Start: Sunday, September 13th
  • Season Concludes: October 4th or October 11th (Depending on division/league)

COACHING

The season cannot work without coaches. If you are interested in coaching, please indicate that on the registration form. This is a great way to get into coaching without the stress of a busy Spring season!

LEVEL OF PLAY

There are two (2) levels of play for Fall Baseball (Minors and Majors only).

In-House Developmental League

  • Who it's for: Players looking for a fun, relaxed environment to build skills, try new positions, and keep playing baseball without a heavy travel commitment.
  • Placement: Open to all registered players (as space allows).
  • The Schedule: Games are played Sundays against other PNHLL teams, Hopkins LL teams, and Golden Valley LL teams. Teams will travel to Golden Valley (Isaacson Park) and Hopkins (Maetzold Field) with home game hosted at Zachary Playfields.

Competitive Traveling League (MYAS or Little League Traveling)

  • Who it's for: Experienced players looking for a higher, more fast-paced tier of competition to prepare for high-level Spring baseball.
  • Selection Process: While families can opt-in to this track during registration, rosters will be selected based on regular season coach evaluations
  • The Schedule: Selected teams will enter the MYAS Fall League or play a schedule against other competitive metro area Little League travel programs. Weekend doubleheaders will involve travel to various complexes around the Twin Cities metro area.

⚠️ Important Note on Travel Roster Limits: Because traveling rosters are formed based on Spring coach evaluations, space is limited. Players who opt-in for travel but are not selected will automatically be placed on an In-House Developmental team, and any registration fee differences will be adjusted/refunded.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can my child play other fall sports and still do Fall Ball? Absolutely! Fall baseball is highly accommodating. Many of our players also play Fall soccer or football. Just let your coach know about any weekend conflicts ahead of time. Games are on Sundays, so if there will be consistent conflicts, please reach out to the Fall Coordinator.

Are there tryouts or evaluations for the fall season? No. Teams are formed based on Spring end of season evaluations done by the players' Spring head coach. Travel players will be selected and teams will be balanced based on this metric.
